The Mage Armor property will not hinder the Meditation skill as normal non-leather armor will. This means a suit of armor composed entirely of Mage Armor, even Platemail Armor, will allow you to use your Meditation skill as if you were unarmored.
Armor with the Mage Armor property will also not affect the Stealth skill like heavier armor normally does.
