The donations link in the main menu was going to waste in my opinion. It would be better served being rolled into a general FAQ page which will answer many different types of questions. Feel free to insert questions you think would be very general about UOGuide. If you are not a Sysop, then you can propose questions/answers here on the talk page. - [[User:JC the Builder|JC the Builder]] 17:12, 31 January 2008 (PST)

In terms of standards: You can pretty much just follow Bomb Bloke's suggestions. Changing to FAQ

The donations link in the main menu was going to waste in my opinion. It would be better served being rolled into a general FAQ page which will answer many different types of questions. Feel free to insert questions you think would be very general about UOGuide. I kinda get the impression there is no standard. :)

Usually I just check pages of a similar subject before creating a new one. Sometimes I can spot a pattern (which I follow), sometimes I can't (so I take a stab at setting one).

It's usually a good idea to search for terms related to your new subject as well, just in case a page covering it already exists (but under an unexpected name).

Also check the "what links here" link when creating a new page to see if any pages link there. If only one page links to a topic, you might consider wiping the link or pointing it at another page instead.

Incedently, you can "sign" comments by sticking in four tildes (~~~~). The wiki auto-replaces them with your username/date/etc.

Also kinda worth pointing out is the UOStuff category, where you can find pages that need to be better "integrated" into UOGuide.

I made the Category:UOStuff page during the transition.

In terms of standards: You can pretty much just follow Bomb Bloke's suggestions. Every once in a while I will sweep through and standardize an entire subsection (or create the entire subsection myself), so things will eventually get fixed up. And even if they don't, a wiki that isn't continually in flux and constantly being changed is a failure of a wiki. --Cogniac 20:14, 29 July 2008 (PDT)
