It adds between 10 and 30 extra [[Hit Points|hit points]] of damage. The amount of the extra damage is based on the difference between an opponent's [[mana]] and hit points; the greater the spread, the greater the damage. According to a [[Five on Friday - January 18, 2008|FoF]], formula for the damage bonus is the absolute value of the victim's current mana percentage minus his or her current hit point percentage, divided by four, plus ten.

As with other offensive skills, a mace fighter is able to use the primary [[Special Moves|special move]] with a Maceing skill and [[Tactics]] skill level of 70 and the secondary special move when both skills are at 90 or above. A macer's professional title is Armsman.

In this quest, you are tasked by [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]] to take a basin of water to the undead skeletal remains of her father in the [[Jhelom]] graveyard. Once there you will be given another basin of crystal clear water to return to [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]]. When you return to her, and put her mind at ease that her father is now able to rest in peace, she will reward you with the [[Mirror of Purification]]

Just west of the [[moongate]] you will find two thatched roof buildings running north and south, in the northern building you will find [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]] pacing back and forth.

She tells you the tale of her father's unfortunate death, her mother's dealings with an unscrupulous [[Necromancy|necromancer]], and the emotional results of the ordeal. She then asks you to take a basin of water she obtained while praying at the [[Spirituality]] shrine to her father's restless spirit. Your reward for this portion of the quest is [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]]'s gratitude.

The next leg of this quest takes you to the [[Jhelom]] graveyard. This is outside the city limits, so you will have to dispatch the undead creatures that inhabit the graveyard yourself. Once inside, you will find three crypts in an "L" shape, in the northwestern crypt you will find the [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]]'s father, [[Skeleton_of_Szandor_the_Late_Architect|Szandor]]. Once inside, you click on him and he will tell you that he has learned the "truth" (thus the quest's name) and will ask you to return the basin to [[Aurelia_the_Architect%27s_Daughter|Aurelia]].
