The [[Hatchet]] is a [[One-Handed Weapon]] for [[Swordsmanship]] practitioners. A [[Tinkering|Tinker]] can find it in the [[Tools]] category of the [[crafting]] menu.

The hatchet is also within the [[Axes]] category of weapons; grandmaster [[Lumberjacking|lumberjacks]] receive a 10% [[Damage Increase]] with the use of such weapons. It can be used on trees to make [[log]]s; on [[House Addon]]s to return them to their deeded form; and on corpses to produce [[feather]]s, [[hides]], [[Raw Bird|raw birds]], [[Raw Rib|raw ribs]], [[scales]], and [[wool]].

The Hatchet requires a tinkering [[skill]] of 30 and consumes 4 [[ingot]]s in the process. It may hold its maker's mark and retains the color of the material from which it is made. Crafted versions can have their [[durability]] increased, via [[Powder of Fortifying]], to a maximum of 255 and dyed with [[Pigments of Tokuno]].
