Appearance

She has green hair, specific to the "Vail" line of her family. The Family Vail was known for woman with a unique ability, notated by the color of their hair. Her skin is ghostly white, her eyes are bright green, almond shaped and very arched eyebrows. She has high cheekbones and is rather angular. She is not unattractive but is no stunning beauty either. She was cursed by an elf to look elvin, so she resembles some slight elvin features, however as time goes on they fade from her looks as she returns to her natural human appearance. She is tall, 5’9 and has a thin waist and hips, however is well endowed. She is a fencer and a spell caster so she is quite agile. Her arms are well toned but not overly muscular. Her green hair is thick and usually kept shoulder length. It is known to turn black when she is performing complex spells or in a rage. Her lips are full and curved. Nightshades face is oval shaped. She has her own odd beauty. She has long fingernails and long thin fingers, they are often painted black or red.

Mimus

Mimus is Shades faithful companion and guardian. He appears to be a large black, bird of the Mimidae family. He has large golden eyes and shiny feathers. Like most mockingbirds he can mimic or copy words and expressions eerily well. The Family Gryfith, Shades' Grandmother Eva's Family, was known for taking these rather small regular birds and breeding them to be the family guardians. They have been known to bond with their owner, develop special abilities known only to the Gryfith Mimidae and grow to unusually large sizes. It is whispered that at one time these birds were large enough to carry a person on its back. Mimus, after sacrificing himself for Shade is now an undead hero in her life...

History

Nightshades history is a long one. She is the estranged granddaughter of a prominent doctor and scientist, Jonathan Strathmore. The Strathmore family is a very old family dating far back with all sorts of odd ties thru-out history. They very much kept to themselves. Jonathan Strathmore’s experiments were rumored far from decent and a black cloud of trouble seems to follow the Strathmore family. Nightshade was made a *Ravnos* it is believed, against her will at the tender age of 16.

Current Dealings

She is currently under the tutelage of Barl de'Abreago, and works closely with him on many necromantic spells dealing in Blood magic.

She is rumored to belong to a secret cult of Xornite worshippers known thru-out Sosaria (supposedly they are dead) as the Zog Cabal.

She created a child with Toren Smythe that goes by the name of Willow and is said to be not wholly alive, possibly somewhat of a copy of herself..

She is bonded to the Wolf King, Myrddin ab'Arawn and has three children with him, Tyranis, Nyxanna and Dethn.

She is a renowned poisoner, known for developing one of the purest and oddest forms of Nightshade, a plant that induces hallucinations of well being while body parts fall off.

She has become well known as the Toymaker, selling very odd and unique Dolls said to have some interesting powers.

Other Information

Shade is suspected of being involved in many odd occurrences and disappearing thru-out time but none of it has been confirmed. Her cooking has been known to make others ill, I wouldnt touch it. She is playful, reckless and fun by nature and hides a more serious demeanor for appropriate times. She is known to cause trouble on many levels but never enough to put her behind bars. Which would probably be best for the good and the virtuous of Sosaria..?
