Kraken

Krakankr.jpg

There are two different types of Kraken, one found in dungeons and the other that spawns as a result of a Special Fishing Net on the open seas. The open sea Kraken can breathe fire, much like a Dragon, and can give a Message in a Bottle as loot. Like a Dragon, the damage done by the open sea Kraken breath attack diminishes as the Kraken runs out of hitpoints.

Due to the Rope needed to make Hitching Post (replica) the Kraken has become a monster to be hunted again

Tactics

By far the best place to reliably hunt Kraken is the park in Wind Dungeon; there is a lake at the south west edge which spawns a Kraken every couple of minutes; you need to lure it down to the south of the lake so that it is almost on land; use the spamming attack trick to keep it near the edge of the lake or if it swims away so that you can loot it
My preferred method is using a CU, they kill them pretty quickly and you can use it to kill the other spawn in the area too The Rope is a rare drop and you may have to kill quite a few to get one
