: I totally agree. I think they thought there is not enough new stuff for it to be an expansion while putting these just as a Publish would not pay for the effort. So it is between a Publish and an Expansion, its basically a Publish that you can buy. This idea deeply disturbs me. I hope they dont try to sell basic Publishes -like the new one about the Treasure Maps- in the future. [[User:Nimuaq|Nimuaq]] 16:34, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

::I think the fine line between Booster and Publish will be new vs. improved/bug fix. All the recent tmap stuff was sorely needed and a nice set of improvements. The new pirate/boat stuff is def all new. I'm almost tempted to start a pool and take bets that the next booster after AotHS will finally be wrapping up the Virtue system. --[[User:Tancred RedStar|Tancred RedStar]] 17:56, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes, the latest/upcoming expansion could have a place at the top. Eventually I would like to see a solid paragraph summary of each expansion with a link to the full guide. However, I don't think it is appropriate to put links to the official websites on the summary page. -- JC the Builder 15:21, 15 November 2006 (PST)

meh i just added the links here as a pagemark, for later use.  - BBR  talk / cont 23:55, 15 November 2006 (PST)

Boosters

Until they actually release more than one booster, I'm hesitant to group them as not being an expansion(e.g. their own sub-category exclusive of Expansions). I have serious doubts theyre going to stick to the proposed 6-month timeframe. Also, the devs seem to term the concept that boosters will be self-contained, whereas all expansions have always rolled up all previous expansions for one price/purchase. As a sidenote, just as DDO went F2P, it also started offering adventure packs on a periodic basis which are self-contained add-ons of dungeons/adventures. I'm assuming the UO honchos perhaps see this as the new MMO business model to some extent and, with their smaller staff, a more reasonable growth plan. It will be interesting to see when a lame booster gets announced that hardly anyone buys. With expansions of the past, you essentially had to buy the expansion but boosters come across as piecemeal. Again, we'll see how this plays out. --Tancred RedStar 02:57, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

I think the fine line between Booster and Publish will be new vs. improved/bug fix. All the recent tmap stuff was sorely needed and a nice set of improvements. The new pirate/boat stuff is def all new. I'm almost tempted to start a pool and take bets that the next booster after AotHS will finally be wrapping up the Virtue system. --Tancred RedStar 17:56, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
