Ultima Online: New Legacy, also known as UO:NL, is Ultima Online's venture into recapturing a more classic Ultima Online experience. This game mode will be catering to RPG fans and veterans of Ultima Online with seasonal content that can be taken with you back to the production shards. It is currently scheduled for release in September 2024 for the 27th anniversary of Ultima Online.

Alpha / Beta Testing

A select group of players have been given access to alpha testing. Broadsword has stated that beta for Ultima Online: New Legacy will begin in summer 2024.

Legacy System

The Legacy System serves as the engine through which you craft the narrative of your avatar's journey within the realm of Britannia. Picture it akin to composing a memoir; however, instead of recounting events through written words after they've passed, you immerse yourself in these experiences in real-time within the world, leaving a lasting mark for generations to witness.

Through the Legacy System, you have the opportunity to:

• Earn Special Commendations and Medals: Acts of Virtue are duly recognized, rewarding you with special commendations and medals.
• Become the Subject of Epic Tales: Your deeds may become the stuff of epic tales, chronicled in libraries throughout the realm for all to read and admire.
• Be Memorialized as a True Britannian Hero: Your bravery and valor can lead to your immortalization through statues, paintings, and busts, ensuring your legacy as a true hero of Britannia.
• Build a Family Name: Forge a family name that will endure for future generations of your avatar, leaving a legacy that will be preserved and celebrated.

With the Legacy System, the possibilities are vast and immersive, offering a unique way to shape the story of your avatar and leave a lasting impact on the world of Britannia.
