Publish 79

Hello. I edited the deployment history as November 19th since it is released to the European shards on November 19th acc. to our local time (Nov 19th 5am UK time, 6am Central European Time, so early in the morning essentially while 0am for Mythic HQ in Virginia, again November 19th). It is therefore 19th for all shards based on where they are located and I have no idea why they mentioned the "on Sunday evening, 11/18" for the European shards. I also added Ask & Answer No. 11 and the publish to our uo news section, we're short of staff so we sometimes forget to add the news. Thanks again for your contributions on other articles, we're happy to see someone on-board who has experience with editing uoguide. Nimuaq 04:35, 23 November 2012 (PST)

Answer: Uhm, I just copied it from the official website, latest entry on UO.com regarding Publish 79. I am sorry, I had no idea it was not accurate. Just saw the information was missing, sorry for messing things up :-) I am trying my best, you are always free to update my mistakes and everything. If I somehow cause more work for you than I help, let me know so I can either try to be better or slow down with editing so I cause less work for you :-) By the way, here in Europe we are often experiencing bad connection speed to UOGuide. Have you considered donations? I would use your (paid?) links to official EA store when I buy things, but they won't work for you afaik as Europeans are being redirected to our respective generic EA shop country specific home pages. I love UOGuide, thank you for making it possible.EnteringBritannia 16:46, 23 November 2012 (CEST)

Yes, those links don't work for me as well. I just wanted to inform you why I changed that bit as a fellow editor since I thought it would be rude and discouraging otherwise. We don't remove existing text unless they are incorrect or ungrammatical and since an increased emphasis on form only serves to discourage editors, we tend to leave as much as possible. You can only make the guide better by editing and you already helped a lot with the Farspeaker page, an item page that we didn't have and desperately needed. I think we have a donation section on the game codes page, but I'm only one of the volunteer sysops and I don't have much knowledge about the website speed, JC the Builder, an Ultima Online player who runs and maintains UOGuide, might know more about those issues. Farspeaker

I am sorry, I don't know how to properly format the materials' table. I used the format that is provided in the help link, but somehow borders and colors are amiss. Can anyone help? Kind regards.

Hello. You can add class="uoguidetable" to the start of the table to format it the way uoguide uses, or can simply state class="wikitable" for a regular black and white table, so it goes like:

Amount !! Item !! Remark
20 || Ingots || Crafted item retains the color of this material
10 || Emeralds ||
10 || Rubies||
1 || Copper Wire ||

the code above is displayed as:

Amount Item Remark
20 Ingots Crafted item retains the color of this material
10 Emeralds
10 Rubies
1 Copper Wire

However, for items that can be crafted, we usually use the Crafting Box template, a ready template which constructs a table with the provided input. It goes like:

the code above is displayed as:

Crafting the Tinkering item EnteringBritannia
Minimum Skill Requirements Components Success Chances
80.0 Tinkering
Ingots 20 Ingots
Copper wire.png 1 Copper Wires
Emerald.png 10 Emeralds
Ruby.png 10 Rubies
100.0 skill = 40.0%
Exceptional Chances
100.0 skill = 0.0%
Additional Notes
The item retains the color of the material used.

I edited the page with using the crafting box, feel free to further change it in any way you like. I hope the code pieces above help, thanks for editing UOGuide! Nimuaq 10:38, 21 November 2012 (PST)

Awesome, thanks!
