The crafting Blacksmiths' seventh selection in the Shield Category is the Chaos Shield. It requires a skill of 85 to create and consumes 25 ingots in the process. The Chaos Shield may hold its maker's mark and retains the color of the material from which it is made. Crafted versions can have their durability increased, via Powder of Fortifying, to a maximum of 255 and dyed with Pigments of Tokuno.
One of the Virtue Artifacts, Lord Blackthorn's Exemplar, is a Chaos Shield.
Special Chaos Shields were found as loot on Vanguard Controllers.
