Equipment Slots refers to the number and type of items that can be equipped on the body of a player character. There are currently 19 equipment slots, which was not always so. Several slots that have significant gameplay value today had little, non-Role Play value in the past. The ring and bracelet slots have been useable equipment slots for a very long time. However, it was only in 2003, with the release of Age of Shadows that jewelry began to contain modifications, or mods. Prior to that time, only special, charged items or EA-sanctioned wedding bands were of value.
