Last I took this quest, I did not need to chop on anything for it. Sample just appeared in my pack.
"You will need to buy a bone machete from a vendor. Return them to Jamal and you will then know how to make the machete." --Amamos (talk) 16:44, 4 June 2019 (PDT)
