Entitled the [[Shield of Recognition]], it was in essence a boobie prize for those players who did not fully understand the humility required to win, or merit, a Cloak of Humility. As the Shield of Recognition was a legitimate, if sarcastic, reward for completing the quest, many consider the shield as a component of the Virtue Armor Set.

Fully equipped Virtue Armor Set

The Virtue Armor is an Item Set, that is, a collection of armor pieces that will receive a special property bonus when all are equipped at once. In this case, each piece receives a bonus of +5 to all Resistances as well as a Self Repair bonus of 5.

The full set offers the maximum possible Resistances (70 in all areas), is Blessed, and will practically never require repair. It is therefore excellent for the purposes of training skills such as Parrying (which essentially involves taking damage at a high rate), or as a reliable form of defense in areas where much Gold would otherwise be lost to Insurance.

On the other hand, due to it's lack of any other Item Properties (some of which are considered essential for certain character types), players seldom use it on a regular basis.

Notes

 • Virtue armor starts out dyed - when the complete set is worn, the "tarnish" is removed and it takes on it's true appearance. While it's possible to apply Pigments of Tokuno, these will also be cleansed when you equip the full set.
 • Removing a piece of the armor restores the effects of any dyes. They can be permanently removed via Bleach.
