Shard of Screams

The Shard of Screams was a special event shard created for Halloween in 2000. It opened on October 31, 2000 and featured magic pumpkins, costume gates, undead and demonic creatures standing in for NPC's and other Halloween-related content. It also allowed characters to alter their skills and stats at will.

It ran on the the shard usually tasked with running the Volunteer shard and was reverted back to that duty a few days later.

It was the first special event shard and was followed in a similar vein in later years by the Shard of the Dead, Shard of the Dead II and Winterland shards.
