The Pirate Conspiracy
About the Events
The Pirate Conspiracy is a series of events for all players, guilded or not. These events will consist of scavenger hunts, riddles, adventures and in some cases limited fighting. Some events will require geographic knowledge, some a keen mind, courage, or a moderate fighting skill. Few of the events will also be quite dangerous and challenging. So, it is something for everyone! Valuable rewards can be earned! About 10 events are already planned and prepared. More will probably follow. With these events we will introduce the background of the conflict between unsavory folk (pirates) and the honorable society of Britannia.
- The Pirate Conspiracy will last several weeks. A player does not have to participate at every event. You can join in at any time.
- Every scheduled event will be part of the storyline, and yield clues and sometimes rewards.
- The upcoming events will be announced on the United Pirates homepage.
- Every player can participate, good or evil, guilded or not!
- For those who need to follow up: All retrieved clues will be avaiable for public viewing in the libary on the top floor of the Jolly Roger Inn, the headquarters of the United Pirates.

Previous Incidents
June 29th: Hawkeye Pike has written down the hiding place of the hostage on a piece of paper. This document has been split up and distributed on eight books. To find out the location of the captured treasurer, you have to possess all books. During a battle between landlubbers and the United Pirates, Book 1 had been stolen from the pirates and been hidden somewhere in Britannia. Due to this unfortunate circumstance, the pirates decided to hide the books in various secret places.
June 21st: During a guild meeting in the Lion's Den in New Haven, the treasurer of the Gentle Rest Inn guild named Hefeustus was lured under false pretenses to a room next door. There he was knocked out and kidnapped by an infiltrator, while Hawkeye Pike, Captain of the United Pirates guild, was seen blocking the door with chests, thus enabling the escape of the traitor. Nobody knew the real reason for this hostile action. The Torm's Fury and Purple Guardians of Honor guilds declared all pirate folk outlaws in New Haven, who would be punished and chased away from this town without warning. Ever since, heavy war has been raging in the streets of New Haven.
Hefeustus has been missing ever since. Everyone is advised to be extra careful when entering the town of New Haven.
April + May 2008: The United Pirates have been haunting the streets of New Haven, demanding a "security tax" from honest citizens. They claimed that New Haven now was under pirate law, and that their presence would ensure the safety for both inhabitants and visitors. Anyone who refused to pay the security tax to the amount of 500 gold coins, was asked to leave New Haven or was attacked and chased through the streets.
Honorable and brave fighters from the Purple Guardians of Honor, the Torm's Fury, the Loyal Fury, the Undead and other guilds have tried to resist and sometimes even won battles against the pirate intruders. But still the evil folk are present in this once peaceful town, prowling its streets and threatening passers-by.
