This patch was for the Classic Client and the Third Dawn Client.

Date

December 8, 2001

Patch Notes

For version control reasons, we released a small patch to change the login encryption for both clients on Saturday evening, December 8th CST. There were no executable changes in this patch.

Other Notes

It is believed that this small, nondescript patch was released to combat the effects from an accidental posting of a mysterious client patched up to client patch "3.0.5m" (which was a patch number that was never publically released) on the EA FTP server. A few people managed to download this patched client and discovered that it allowed access to Ilshenar to users of the Classic Client, which was illegal at the time.
