There are 2 types of cloth in UO.
Plain cloth
Plain cloth can be farmed and crafted by the player, one starts this process by buying a dagger or sharp object from your local npc vendor, find a sheep (Yew is good for this), then use the dagger on the sheep to obtain wool. Use the wool on a Spinning wheel to produce yarn. and use the yarn on a weaving rack to produce bolts of cloth, which can be cut with scissors to produce 50 cloth.
The resulting cloth can be dyed using a plain dye tub.
Reward cloth
Reward cloth consists of 4 levels of rarity, each being the result of turning in BODs, (Bulk Order Deed) from one of the matching Tailor NPCs, the harder the deed, the better the reward type cloth you can get will be.
