11th Year Collection

Overview

The 11th Year Collection is a set of special items originally released first in Japan on November 13, 2008 as a retail boxed product to commemorate Ultima Online's 11th year, from September 2007 to September 2008. Purchasing the box provided the player with a code that could be entered in-game to receive the special items.

While not considered a full blown expansion as no new skills, landmasses or other major content were included, the items in the set were developed to provide a renewed retail presence in Japan for Ultima Online. The 11th Year Collection was later to be released for online code purchase to all other players worldwide in mid-December 2008. The collection was eventually offered for sale to worldwide customers on February 11th, 2009 but was quickly removed later the same day due to a miscommunication.

The set comes as a token named: A Promotional Token Use This To Redeem your 11th Year Collection (Master). To redeem, you double click the token. You will receive three tokens in your pack after double clicking the master token. One will be named: A Promotional Token Use This To Redeem your 11th Year Collection (Addons) and will give you four tokens when double clicked. The four tokens are for the Willow tree, Maple tree, Snow tree, and fallen log. The second token will be named: A Promotional Token Use This To Redeem your 11th Year Collection (Deco Items) and will give you four tokens when double clicked. The four tokens are for the ancestral gravestone, hitching post, round lamp post, and wooden bookcase. The last token will be named: A Promotional Token Use This To Redeem your 11th Year Collection (Misc) and will give you three tokens when double clicked. The three tokens are for the armor engraving tool, earrings of protection and the bulk order covers.

The items were made available for sale once again to all players worldwide as both a set and singly on April 9, 2009 on Origin Store for $15.99.

11th collection fallen log.jpg Fallen Log – Players can sit on it, comes as a House Addon deed which can be placed in player homes facing east or south. This is a deed placement so it does not take up a lock down. Double click an axe and target the item to redeed it.
11th collection earring of protection cross.jpg Earring of Protection – When worn, gives the character +2 resistance against physical, fire, cold, poison, and energy damage, depending on random resistance property when created. The earring is blessed and comes in a jewelry bag, which is not blessed (I did not receive my earrings in a jewelry bag when I redeemed them on April 28, 2009 so I do not know if this has been changed -HM), Earrings on a gargoyle being the equivalent of the head slot on other races’ armor.
11th collection lamp post.jpg Lamp Post - May be locked down in a home and the light may be turned on and off. Blessed.
11th collection hitching post.jpg Hitching Post - May be locked down in a home and used to stable pets. It can be set to the same security as runebooks, containers, and so on. It does not use a charge to stable a pet, but does use a charge to claim a pet. To use the pet, a character can use the text menu (the same way the text menu is used to set the security of the post to claim pets or stable pets, but this gives no control over which pets are claimed) or say stable and claim list to use the post in exactly the same way as a stable. The post comes with 30 charges and is rechargeable using a hitching rope. Hitching ropes are made by characters with 60 tinkering and 15 animal lore and require one rope and one Resolve's bridle to craft. This item can be raised, lowered, and turned with an interior decorator tool. Blessed.
11th collection ancestral gravestone.jpg Ancestral Gravestone - Must be locked down in a player's house to use. It can be set to the same security as runebooks, containers, and so on. Double click to use it and a monster will spawn for a moment and give that character +5 Spirit Speak skill for a short period of time. Each character that uses the stone has a 90 minute cool down period before that character can use the stone again. TThis item can be raised, lowered, and turned with an interior decorator tool.
