UOGuide:Stygian Abyss Exclusive

The next expansion is set in the Great Stygian Abyss, an area that appears out of nowhere. After the Shadowlord events, a man named Cabirus attempted to create a utopian colony inside the Abyss. He brought together diverse cultures and races in peaceful co-existence, and planned to solidify harmony by giving each group one of eight neon-imbued magical artifacts. However, he died before the artifacts were distributed and did not leave a plan of how to do so. The colony collapsed into anarchy and war as a result, and the headache-inducing artifacts were lost.
In the game's introduction, Luna explodes. Just KA-POW! The ghost of Cabirus haunts the player's dreams with warnings of a great danger in Britannia. The player allows Cabirus to take him to Britannia, where he witnesses the kidnapping of a baron's daughter by a wizard. The wizard escapes, leaving the player to be caught by the baron's guards. The guards take him before the baron, who banishes you to the Great Stygian Abyss with the goal of rescuing his daughter.
After the introduction, the player explores the dungeon in a non-linear fashion and meets remnants of Cabirus' colony. A few possible experiences include deciding the fate of two warring goblin tribes, learning a language and completing a quest by playing an instrument. The player eventually discovers a plot by the wizard, Tyball, to summon a demon into Britannia. The player may defeat Tyball and the demon, and the event ends with the rescue of the baron's daughter. If the player fails their character is deleted and they must begin anew.
Once inside the Stygian Abyss the only way out is by finding the exit. Player's who embark on this quest are expected to be trapped in the dungeon for at least 3 months. You also can not login on any other characters while inside the Abyss.
