Mailboxes were introduced as 12th Anniversary gifts with Publish 61 at the beginning of October 2009. They can be used as a container or can be placed in front of a house to be used as an in-game mailbox. Mailboxes can currently be obtained from the Clean Up Britannia (2011-Present) Program at a cost of 1,000 points.
The red semaphore flag indicates "You got mail".
