The Rideable Polar Bear is a 9th year Veteran Reward that summons forth a Polar Bear to ride when double-clicked. Only players with accounts 108 months or older may use the mount although anyone can trade or lock down the statuette as a decorative item. While the Rideable Polar Bear is considered an Ethereal Mount, it is not transparent.
Some believe that this mount is a true sign of a veteran player, while others consider it gauche. However, those players are probably just jealous because they're stuck using words like "gauche" and not riding around on a rockin' Polar Bear. Few characters are seen riding one due to the need of having an account continuously open for 9 years, which easily tops $1,000 in subscription fees.
