Tinkering is a crafting skill. It provides very little direct benefit to combat. You can, however, repair and create items, which makes Tinkering a coveted skill.

That fellow, or lass, with pockets overflowing with bits of metal, scraps of ore, and widgets and trinkets of various shapes and sizes may be your local tinker. Tinkers of Britannia may create a wide variety of tools, traps, trinkets and other items to brighten the houses and keeps of Britannia.

Tinker-Made Weapons

While blacksmiths make most of the in-game weapons, Tinkers make a few weapons as well:

The jewelry below comes with random mods in addition to the fixed mod(s) listed below. The fixed mods are not guaranteed to have the highest possible intensity. I have crafted a few exceptional rings and bracelets and had an intensity of 3%. Bare that in mind.

Notes

Some of the intensities on properties above are cumulative or "stack". For example, I just made a Turquoise Ring with 27% Damage. Max Damage Increase for jewelry is typically 25%. A Turquoise Ring can get a 15% Damage Increase as a property. So, this particular ring randomly spawned with 12% Damage Increase and then got the 15% boost to get to 27%. Stacking of properties can create artifact type jewelry since you can surpass the typical caps.
