Nerve Strike is a Bushido special move that was added during the Samurai Empire expansion in the fall of 2004. It requires 50 Bushido skill to execute.
Effects
Nerve Strike does damage and has a chance to paralyze an opponent for a short time. Use of this special move will override any Slayer property Damage Increase for that melee round.
Damage
It applies normal weapon damage. The Direct Damage bonus is based upon the attacker's Bushido skill, which is calculated as follows: [(Bushido skill - 50 ) * 3 / 14] + (0-10)
For example:
- With Bushido at 50, the Direct Damage range is 0 to 10 Hit Points.
- With Bushido at 120, the Direct Damage range is 15 to 25 Hit Points.
Paralysis
The paralysis chance is scaled based on Bushido skill, from 50% chance at 50 skill to 90% chance at 120 skill. The paralysis is breakable when the paralyzed target takes damage. In Player vs. Player combat, it lasts for about 2 seconds.
Primary weapons
No weapons have Nerve Strike as a primary ability.
Seconday weapons
Weapons with a secondary ability of Nerve Strike require 90 or higher in the appropriate fighting skill and 60 or higher in tactics.
