What is with the resist totals on the main page? Shouldn't they be 70 across the board? --Ceruleus 00:31, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

You character's maximum resists are 70 across the board, unless you're an elf, in which case you get +5 to your maximum energy cap.
Virtue armor puts you "overcap", meaning stuff like Corpse Skin has less effect. - Bomb Bloke 00:46, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Geek Notes

I thought this a little bit too technical for the main article, but still worthy of mention.

To get the base stats for certain items I've been making great use of my trusty Imprisoned Dog. In some cases the results have been quite out of the ordinary.

When not in artifact form, the separate pieces of the Virtue Armor Set have no name, and these resistances:

Helm:

  • 8% Physical Resist
  • 8% Fire Resist
  • 7% Cold Resist
  • 9% Poison Resist
  • 8% Energy Resist

40% total

Gorget:

  • 7% Physical Resist
  • 7% Fire Resist
  • 9% Cold Resist
  • 5% Poison Resist
  • 7% Energy Resist

35% total

Tunic:

  • 10% Physical Resist
  • 7% Fire Resist
  • 8% Cold Resist
  • 7% Poison Resist
  • 8% Energy Resist

40% total

Leggings:

  • 8% Physical Resist
  • 7% Fire Resist
  • 10% Cold Resist
  • 7% Poison Resist
  • 8% Energy Resist

40% total

Arms:

  • 8% Physical Resist
  • 11% Fire Resist
  • 6% Cold Resist
  • 8% Poison Resist
  • 7% Energy Resist

40% total

Gloves:

  • 6% Physical Resist
  • 6% Fire Resist
  • 8% Cold Resist
  • 9% Poison Resist
  • 6% Energy Resist

35% total

Full Set:

  • 47% Physical Resist
  • 46% Fire Resist
  • 48% Cold Resist
  • 45% Poison Resist
  • 44% Energy Resist

230% total

The cloak and boots offer no resistances. Also note that the virtue armor can be bleached, permanently removing the dusty yellow/brown dye that hides it's true colors.

These match no other forms of armor (which would normally have resistances totaling 16% tops per piece). The only other "no name" item I know of is the Helm of Swiftness.
