The term Meat has several uses in Ultima Online. It is one of five food types of which Tamers must be mindful as numerous tamable creatures only consume meat. It is a resource for practitioners of the Cooking skill. Like fish, meat comes in raw and cooked forms. Characters can consume meats that are cooked, but not raw. Sources of meat include: most creature corpses upon which a Bladed weapon is used; NPC butchers.
