During the Fall of 2007, the city of Magincia was destroyed by demons for its Pride (See Virtues). As this mirrors events in classical ultima lore, this has fueled speculation among some players that Magincia will eventually be replaced by New Magincia, a humbler city, thus further mirroring Ultima lore.
These speculations proved right as the city is expected to be rebuilt within the In the Shadow of Virtue event cycle with the Publish 70 in late March, 2011.
