General Talisman Information

Talismans can come randomly as loot from most ML quests (crafters satchels, bag of trinkets, strongboxes etc), as well as loot on the various peerless and named monsters. You can also recieve special talismans from the community collections and as minor artifacts.

Some Talismans, come with an 'owned by' property. Once they are equiped, the owned by property links to that character. These talismans then become blessed to that character, and only that character and no other can use it.

Slayers Protection and Killers

  • Slayers: New GROUP categories include: Bovine, Bat, Beetle, Bird, Bear, Flame, Ice, Mage, & Vermin slayers : 100% additional damage to monsters. (Note only melee weapon damage and archery componded. Magic damage does not apply. Capped at 300% DI. Talisman slayer damage & weapon slayer damage do stack.)
  • Killers: Every Monster Type Up to 100% intensity - X% amount of additional damage to monster (note: this is still limited to 300% DI, when using slayer weapons.Try using 100% weapons the target is weakest to. Killer damage property DOES stack with slayer damage.) (Can you actually Dragon or demon?)
  • Protection: Every Monster Category Up to 60% intensity - X% amount of less damage dealt to Player. ( note: does not remove reflected damage returned to player.)

Special: Totem of the Void

This talisman is pretty much a necessity for any PvP mage because it gives you 2x hit point regeneration and 10% Lower Mana Cost plus one other random bonus. Miasma is a great place to get one, just go there and keep killing Miasmas while you're at maximum weight and eventually one will go into your bank box that will say "owned by no one" and will be blessed to you as soon as you equip it.

Crafting Bonus

Up to 30% Bonus - Can be found in regular and Exceptional. It adds to your chance of crafting a regular or exceptional item. Some new items cannot be crafted in exceptional so a Talisman with Exceptional Bonus will not help you with these items (Alchemy, Glassblowing, and Cartography. Exceptional bonus for these skills likely does not even exist). DOES NOT apply to enhancing.

Note: Skill bonuses from talismen apply only to earned skill; i.e., a talisman won't help you create anything you don't have the base skill points to create. Once you have enough points to create something, however, the talismen apply their bonuses as expected.

  • Boards Summoning (10 plain boards per summon)
  • Ingots Summoning (10 plain ingots per summon)
  • Summon (various) Monsters and Creatures. These summons cannot be controlled and will attack as if they were necromancer familiars summoned with the Summon Familiar spell (once per melee hit, they don't continuously fight and won't retaliate if attacked, they will also stay adjacent to the tile you're standing on and will not pursue their target any further), however they will follow you around and can be renamed. Perfect for RP'ers who wish to have an 'odd' pet and might not have the skill to tame one.
    • Random from the below list (Talisman of Creatures).

(note) Is not needed for donating and can not be used to donate on a character who has not finished the quest.

There are several other special talismans you can obtain from the library for donations. We should probably get some coverage of these added to this page.
