Use Best Weapon Skill, abbreviated commonly to UBWS, is a property which is found on certain weapons. Like many item properties, indeed most, it was first seen with the Age of Shadows expansion.
Basically, it allows you to use the so-labeled weapon as long as you have a weapon skill, regardless of what it is.
For example, the artifact sword the Blade of the Righteous has this property, and can thus be used by someone with Fencing or Mace Fighting, as opposed to only Swordsmanship.
Archery is excluded from UBWS. Though some bows spawned with the property shortly after the release of the Age of Shadows expansion, this was due to a bug, and never worked. Wrestling, similarly, does not count, as this is not a weapon skill.
