Are you the same Basara that does the guides on Stratics?

Yes

Yeah, I'm the Stratics UO Craftsman Moderator.

I'm slowly trying to learn how to work on Wiki stuff (considering my computer training started about the time cards were being phased out for the vi editor, it's kinda rough going). I won't be contributing much over here - typically it will be stuff that doesn't directly overlap my Stratics stuff, as to not get wires crossed, and the chance that someone will go off and think one forum is stealing off the other, when they had the same source for both.

This first modification (the Treatise on Alchemy) came about as a direct result of me looking up the talisman here, before claiming one from the Britian Library - and the one I claimed exceeding the parameters of the UOGuide entry.

Welcome! Although, I think it's fair to say that it's entirely possible you started doing things here before I did; certainly your extensive body of work at Stratics far predates me :)

In any event, I hope you reconsider your decision not to overlap; I tend to see Stratics and the UO Guide as complementary rather than competetive, since the guide really isn't set up to be a chat board and stratics can't possibly offer the same search functionality as a wiki. You are the source (or, at the very least, the editor and moderator) of a great deal of useful information; at the very least I hope you are willing to be free with the knowledge you yourself can claim credit to :)

Thanks

I really dig your contributions. Your addition on the cleaver/leather/350 stone limit is why I love wiki. Just want to express my appreciation. --Ceruleus 11:18, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

I just wish I could document it better. I also added some additional information on the harvesting of Leathers (I added at least one creature per category for normal, spined and horned), and correcting some errors later on in it (the assumption that the human was a flat +2 leather, because so many things that produce leather from skinning start with 15-20, before the human bonus). Some of the creatures with lower leather outputs (ratmen for spined, ki-rin for horned) are often efficient sources due to their presence in champion spawns, and that they are often hunted for other resources (especially ratman archers for arrows).
