Prevents the Target from being healed by any means for a few Seconds. This effect does not stop a Target from regenerating hit points.

Mortal Strike is a special move that was added during the Age of Shadows expansion in 2003.

Effects

Using the move will render it impossible to initiate the healing of damage on a target for several seconds. This effect lasts for 8 seconds on a player or 14 seconds on an NPC. It does not prevent curing poison or stopping bleeding. The move does 70% of normal weapon damage to a target not currently under these effects. Using the move on a target that is currently under the effects of mortal or immune will do 130% of normal damage and will no longer reset the mortal duration. The duration of Mortal Strike attacks done using ranged weapons will be halved. An 8-second immunity timer is granted once Mortal is removed.

Primary weapons

No weapons have Mortal Strike as a primary ability.

Secondary weapons

Weapons with a secondary ability of Mortal Strike require 90 or higher in the appropriate fighting skill and 60 or higher in tactics.

Publishes

  • Publish 94 (10 Aug 2016): A successful Mortal Strike will render its victim unable to heal any damage for several seconds.
  • Lasts for 8 seconds (player) or 14 seconds (NPC).
  • Does not prevent curing poison or stopping bleeding.
  • Mortal Strike does 70% of normal weapon damage to target not currently under the effects of Mortal.
