Parallax: Astral Objects come in a variety of Common and Rare hues depending on the type of crystal.

Medusa Eggs and Luck. Does luck matter for the chance you actually pull an egg from the snake holes?

Parallax: No, luck does not matter when attempting to obtain eggs from snake holes for the Medusa encounter.

Gargoyle Throwing and Shields

Question

On a gargoyle with 120 Throwing and a shield do you suffer a penalty with your hit chance even when parry is at 120 ? . There is alot of misinformation out there on the subject could you please clarify this issue for us ?

Answer

Parallax: Yes, equipping a shield alongside a throwing weapon does apply a hit chance penalty. This penalty is directly tied to your Parry skill, and while raising your Parry skill to 120 will significantly reduce the penalty, it does not eliminate it.

  • At 60 Parry, you will incur a ~60% hit chance penalty.
  • At 100 Parry, this lowers to roughly ~33% hit chance penalty.
  • At 120 Parry, this becomes a ~20% hit chance penalty.

This penalty is applied after all other Hit/Miss calculations.

Example: If you would normally have a 72% chance to hit a target based on attacker/defender weapon skill, HCI, and DCI, then the shield penalty would make your hit chance ~57%.

Additional Trash Cans

Question

Deco items with trashcan functionality. I like the venus fly trap. Not only because it's an impressive "plant", but also for its practical trashcan function. Every holiday or anniversary, I hope for more items of this kind, but nothing yet. Would it be possible to occasionally create deco items that also help home owners to keep the abode clean?

Parallax: This is something we can look at adding to future event rewards. After all, a clean Britannia is a happy Britannia! Plus it could give the Ratman fight club in the Cavern of the Discarded more shiny objects to fight over!
