I have no idea what loot he has, because of the fact that everybody just goes to the [[Miasma]] and nobody goes any further. We ran this quest and found it to be hard work. Keep looking out for rare named spawn one [[Monsters#Named_Monsters|named]] [[Flurry]] and the other [[Mistral]] both look like [[Energy Vortex]]s but with differnt hues. [[Grim]] is a named [[drake]].

The Area effect is brutal as the above poster mentioned. Once we killed Meraktus we found there was nothing whatsoever special about his loot just a bit of [[gold]] and pretty useless items.

Meraktus the Tormented Minotaur is the Peerless champion in the Labyrinth. His existence is shrouded in mystery. At first there was no idea he existed. Then his named appeared on some Talismans in the slayer property. At some point a group of adventuring players were killing Minotaurs at the end of the Labyrinth and discovered his spawn. After killing several Minotaurs there is a shout "I must warn the others!" After some more killing you start seeing shouting from Minotaur Captains, "Don't let the invaders come any further!" After a lot more killing (much more than to get past the first two levels), Meraktus spawns with 4 Tormented Minotaurs.
