The following is a list of changes deployed as Publish 42 on September 2, 2006.
New Vet Rewards
- Red Soulstone (1st year)
- Player Statue Maker (6th year)
- Decorative Cannon (7th year)
- Weapon Engraving Tool (8th year)
- Ethereal Polar Bear (9th year)
Bug Fixes / Misc. Changes
- Evasion now requires at least 50 weapon skill with the weapon currently being wielded
- Players can no longer remount immediately after dismounting a player with Riding Swipe
- Added caps to stat regen rates. The new caps are:
- Removed the Polymorph timer
- Fixed an exploit involving pack beetles
- Spells like Animal Form no longer have their icon remain up in the buff/debuff gump after logging out and back into UO
- The Magic Reflection buff icon no longer shows a tool-tip error after logging out overnight.
- Personal Attendants can no longer be affected by barding
- Fixed several cases (though not all) where items were having stacking issues since Mondain's Legacy.
- Modified the Wisps in the first room of the Prism of Light dungeon because the area was being farmed too easily
- The Crystal of Prismatic Amber will no longer spawn over the grid of the energy field room in the Prism of Light since it could block players who did not have the quest associated with it from proceeding further into the dungeon
- Fixed an area in the Prism of Light peerless boss room where players could walk out of the encounter
- Repair Contracts can now be used in Zento shops
- Carpentry repair deeds will work in all carpentry shops and Fletching repair deeds will only work in bowyer shops
- Players will now receive a Book of Chivalry for creating a character with enough skill in Chivalry, or a Necromancer Spellbook and bag of necro reagents for selecting the Necromancy skill during character creation while using the advanced template selection
- Smaller birds now give Raw Bird rather than Cuts of Raw Ribs when their corpses are carved
- Fixed a blank tile in Papua that players noticed during the Ophidian Invasion
- Players can no longer use the Horn of Retreat from locations that normally don’t allow teleporting out of. Players may also now only use this item if they are in either Trammel or Malas.
- Fixed a scam that could cause players to drop items
- Added a BandageSelf and BandageSelected macro
- Hit Life Leech and Hit Mana Leech are now scaled to the swing speed of the weapon
- Hit Life Leech and Hit Mana Leech are now half as effective on ranged weapons as they are on melee weapons
- New Elven characters who choose herding now receive a Shepherd Crook
Test Center Changes
- Added new Vet Rewards to bank box that can be used by any account age (Red Soulstone to be added later this week)
- Added a Crimson Cinture to the bank box at the request of players
- Added Powder of Fortification to the bank box at the request of players

This update was deployed September 2, 2006 in the evening.

- Fixed a potential issue with the Red Soulstone
- Fixed an issue with Evasion that was causing the skill to require 50.1 or more weapon skill, rather than 50.0 or more
- Removed some debugging code
- Fixed an issue that was causing some shards to crash
