Plain cloth

Plain cloth can be farmed and crafted by any player; one need not be a tailor. There are two primary sources of raw material that can be crafted into cloth: wool from sheep or cotton from a field. Originally, flax was also to have been a source for cloth.

For wool, a player must obtain a bladed weapon with which to remove the wool from a sheep. A dagger is a good choice and can be obtained from local NPC vendors in town. While Yew continues to be a good location for finding sheep, the farm area east of New Haven now sports several flocks that are ripe for the shearing. Double-click your bladed weapon and target a sheep, live or dead. If the sheep has enough wool to collect, the wool will drop in your backpack. Once a collection of wool is gathered, a trip to the local tailor shop is the next step.

Inside a town tailor shop, double-click the pile of wool and target a spinning wheel, which will produce yarn. Once the wool is processed into yarn, it must be woven into cloth. Double-click the yarn and target the nearest loom, which will yield bolts of cloth at the rate of one bolt for every 5 balls of yarn. Using scissors on a bolt of cloth will make 50 pieces of cloth.

For cotton, the cotton field on Verity Isle, which is reached via the teleporter in Moonglow, is a good source. Double-click the cotton plant and a bale of cotton will replace the plant on the ground. Simply put the cotton bale in your pack and head to the next plant. The process for turning cotton into cloth is the same for wool, so a trip to the local tailor shop is next. One bale of cotton yields 3 spools of thread.

Thread and yarn may be combined on a loom to produce cloth. The resulting cloth can be dyed using a plain dye tub.

Reward cloth

Reward cloth consists of 4 levels of rarity, each being the result of turning in Bulk Order Deeds, (BODs) from a tailor or weaver NPC. The cloth reward system is simple; the harder the BOD completed and returned, the better the reward cloth received.

Notes

  • Prior to Publish 37, Trasher's Tail acted as a bundle of flax and could be spun into a rare cloth color, known as "Necromancer Gray."
