Earrings can, and do, have modifications (mods) on them. These items are from the period prior to Ultima Online: Age of Shadows (AoS) and the mods are charge-based. Charge-based items included far more than just earrings, (e.g., rings, body sashes, weapons, staves, etc). While the charged properties included far more than the following, the following has been confirmed: Agility; Bless; Invisibility; Magic Reflection; Paralyze; Protection; and Teleport.

Currently, no earrings spawn or drop that have item properties, save for the blessed property. Earrings with charge-based properties are still in existence and fetch a high price. However, these charge-based items are from the period prior to the Age of Shadows and no longer spawn.

The earring slot refers to one of the 19 equipment slots on the paperdoll. Basic earrings can be purchased from NPC Jewelers. Tinkers can also create 9 different types of decorative earrings using various gemstones. They are also a primary piece of equipment for Gargoyles.

Pre Age of Shadows

Prior to the Ultima Online: Age of Shadows expansion, earrings (as well as various other equipment) could be found with charged-based modifications (mods) on them. Some of these charged properties included: Agility; Bless; Invisibility; Magic Reflection; Paralyze; Protection; and Teleport. These no longer spawn and are now worth 5000 Clean Up Britannia points.

Post Age of Shadows

Numerous earrings with item properties have been introduced in recent years. Many of them have had a limited release, usually during Dynamic Events. These particular event earrings are often Shard Bound but retain a high value due to their limited availability.

List of Earrings

The following list are Quest and Dynamic event earrings that are routinely seen in game:

Transparent Heart

Nocturne Earrings

Earring of Protection

Obsidian Earrings

Dragon Jade Earrings

Wamap's Bone Earrings
