Overview

Celebrate the destruction of the Gem of Immortality and the defeat of Mondain the Wizard! Donate supplies to Britannia's cities and prepare for an epic fireworks celebration! Take part in the Echoes of Mondain Encounter, with two difficulty modes to test even the most seasoned of fighters. Who will be Britannia's Champion?

Fireworks celebration

Celebrate Shardfall by helping the cities of Britannia gather supplies for a massive Fireworks Celebration! Each day, players can donate Crates of Combustibles to the active city to make progress towards a city-wide fireworks display. Crates, which can be obtained by killing any creature during the event, can be donated by dropping an item or bag of items directly onto the Pyrotechnician NPC in the active city. Donations to the active city will reward players with Shardfall Currency as well as Honor virtue points. If the previously active city has enough supplies, it will perform a fireworks display every hour on the hour for the entire day. The size and duration of the fireworks display are dependent upon how many supplies were received.

The active city rotates each day randomly and is announced by the Shardfall Herald at the Moonglow Lycaeum. Cities include Britain, Trinsic, Minoc, Yew, Jhelom, Moonglow, New Magincia, Vesper, and Skara Brae.

Echo of Mondain

The mages of the Lycaeum have recreated the likeness of Mondain the Wizard and have issued a challenge to the citizens of Britannia. Do you have what it takes to defeat Mondain? Queue into this encounter with your party at the Moonglow Lycaeum. Battle the Echo of Mondain in an instanced encounter to earn special rewards.

The encounter has two difficulty modes:

  • Normal Mode – A challenge for the casual player. Earn Singed Scrolls and a chance at unique rewards for defeating Mondain
  • Avatar Mode – Not for the faint of heart. An extremely difficult challenge that requires precise execution to succeed. Earn additional currency and rewards unique to Avatar Mode for defeating Mondain on this difficulty

This encounter scales in difficulty based on the number of players in the party. Avatar Mode does not scale. It is always at the max difficulty regardless of party size.

Encounter Results are available after each attempt, which shows a breakdown of each party member's Damage Dealt, Damage Healed, and Damage Received. Encounter results will display automatically after the encounter ends. The last recorded Encounter Results can be brought up on demand via the player context menu option for 'View Encounter Results'

Loot

Upon defeating Mondain, a Champion's Cache will appear in the arena. Players can double-click the cache to receive their share of randomly generated loot items that would normally be found on the corpse. Players will receive a variety of Singed Scrolls directly in their backpacks. These scrolls can be kept as collectibles or turned in at the Shardfall Trader for event points. Players under the effects of a Potion of Glorious Fortune will receive additional Singed Scrolls when defeating Mondain.

Players will receive Mondain's Satchel, which can contain special event rewards only available from the Echo of Mondain encounter. Mondain's Satchel can contain:
