Publish 121

Publish 122 is the first publish of 2026 and includes updates to The Draconic Awakening event, post-IDOC house placement updates, a new orc champion spawn, a new seasonal event Kindlehart, new veteran rewards, new items in the Ultima Store, and quality of life changes and bug fixes.

Post-IDOC House Placement

Plot Broker's Ledger

  • A new House Raffle System has been introduced, replacing immediate house placement at IDOCs with a raffle-style process that provides all players an opportunity to compete for newly available housing plots.
  • When a house collapses, the plot will enter a raffle state and become available for sign-ups via the Plot Broker's Ledger.
  • All raffles will remain open for a minimum of 24 hours and maximum of 48 hours before winners are announced.
  • Sign-ups will close 30 minutes prior to winner selection, this timing is separate from the existing IDOC decay cycle.
  • The existing IDOC decay cycle remains unchanged.
  • IDOC house locations are available via the City Trade Minster.
  • Players may purchase raffle tickets using gold and platinum.
  • Players must be able to place a house in order to participate in the raffle.
  • Ticket ownership is tracked account-wide, allowing participation from any character on the account.
  • Ticket prices increase progressively with each purchase a player makes across all raffles. This increase is specific to each account participating in the raffle.
  • Upon purchasing a ticket, players will receive a map in their backpack displaying the plot's coordinates.

Winner Selection and Claiming

  • At the end of the raffle period, a single winner is selected.
  • Winners will be notified via in-game mail, and will have three days to claim the plot.
  • If the winning account does not claim the plot within the allotted time, the plot will not be re-raffled but instead will be open to regular house placement following a 24-hour cooldown.
  • Only one winner is selected per raffle.
  • The right to claim a plot is account-bound and cannot be transferred, traded, or sold.

No Entry Scenarios

  • If no players participate in a raffle, the plot will automatically become available for regular house placement after 24 hours.

Draconic Awakening Updates

Caldur's Watch

  • A permanent headquarters has been established in SW Trinsic to monitor the Umbrascale situation.
  • Collect Umbrascale Dragon Eggs and turn them in to the Curio Collector in exchange for rewards.
  • Umbrascale Dragon Eggs are worth points based on their condition.
  • Track your progress against other players for Dragon Nests burned and Umbrascale Eggs turned in on the Leaderboards.
  • Monitor the status of the Umbrascale Matriarch on the bulletin board at Caldur's Watch
    • Receive a temporary map to the location of the Umbrascale Matriarch's location when she spawns

Dragon Nest Loot Updates

  • "of the Umbrascale" artifacts will no longer appear in nests
  • A new crafting material called "Umbrascales" can appear in nests
  • New collectible sets of Wyrmscale Cultist armor in 3 different hues can appear in nests

Super Massive Dragon Nests

  • A new tier of dragon nests that will test even the most capable adventurers.
  • Designed to be done with a group, these extremely dangerous dragon nests offer a greater challenge for a greater reward.
  • Each Super Massive Dragon Nest will draw the ire of a Broodmother, who will descend upon the nest to defend it.
  • Defeat the Broodmother for a chance to receive special items directly on her corpse:

      • a piece of Wyrmscale Armor

Dragon Matriarch Loot Updates

  • "of the Umbrascale" artifacts will no longer appear in the satchel
  • Chance to receive Umbrascales in each satchel
  • Chance to receive a piece of Wyrmscale Cultist armor in the satchel
  • Matriarch's Skull will drop to the corpse
    • Turn in the Matriarch’s Skull at Caldur's Watch for extra currency and special recognition
  • Increased chance to receive a Mature Umbrascale Dragon Egg
    • Hues 0, 2783, and 2784 will no longer drop from the Matriarch

  • Dragon Nest maps can now drop on the corpse of any Dragon mob
  • Dragon Nest maps can now appear in the cargo hold of High Seas ships

Kindlehart

  • The spirit of Kindlehart is upon us, join the Bardic Collegium and celebrate this new Sosarian Holiday!
  • Kindlehart is a new recurring holiday event that will occur every February
    • The initial date for this event will begin when Publish 122 goes Live, until March 16th, 2026.

Overview

A ritual performed by the Bardic Collegium at the Shrine of Compassion has unleashed a surge of uncontrolled flame across Sosaria. Many creatures have become Kindlehart Infused, and glowing Kindlehart Shards now appear throughout the land. To help restore balance, adventurers are asked to gather this scattered power and return it to the Bardic Collegium.

How to Participate

Details

  • Any creature has a chance to spawn as Kindlehart Infused
    • Identified by a special tooltip and visual effect
  • Most Boss-level mobs will always spawn as Kindlehart Infused and provide extra Kindlehart Flame.
  • Players will need Radiant Vessels to collect Kindlehart Flame, which can be crafted by a Glassblower with Sand and Gold Dust.
  • Kindlehart Flame can be extracted from creatures by slaying them, which will split their stored essence between the top attackers, with stronger creatures having more essence.
  • Bards can attempt to extract Kindlehart Flame from creatures by using the Peacemaking skill directly on them. If the bard is skilled enough, the Kindlehart Flame will be removed from the creature without harming it. The more skillful the bard is, the stronger the creature they can calm with this method. Only weaker creatures are susceptible to this technique.
  • Kindlehart Flame can also be extracted from Kindlehart Shards that are spread all throughout Sosaria. Players will need to acquire a Flame Resonator, crafted by a Tinker, to extract the essence in this manner.
  • Radiant Vessels can only hold so much Kindlehart Flame before they cannot absorb any more. Radiant Vessels will change color and tooltip descriptions based on how full they are.
  • Radiant Vessels can be deposited into the Essence Collector at the Britain Conservatory in exchange for Kindlehart Coins.
  • Depositing Radiant Vessels will also provide the player with an amount of Compassion and Sacrifice based on how full the Radiant Vessel is.
  • Kindlehart Coins can be spent at the nearby Kindlehart Trader for rewards.
  • Every time Kindlehart Flame is collected at the Conservatory, the warmth level of Sosaria increases. When a critical level is reached, a Kindlehart Tempest will spawn in the world. Defeat the Tempest for unique rewards!

Kindlehart

  • Significantly reduced the threshold required to summon the Kindlehart Tempest
  • Added a 30-minute timer before the Kindlehart Tempest can be summoned again after being killed

  • You will now receive a system message when you capture Kindlehart Essence from creatures
  • Flame Resonators now have 100 uses

Container Security Inheritance

  • A new quality-of-life improvement has been added to lockdown containers
    • Apply Security to Contents
      • Lockdown containers now include a new option under Set Security called "Apply to Contents"
    • How it Works
      • When enabled, the container's current security level (Owner, Co-Owner, Friends, etc.) is automatically applied to all top-level items inside the container.
      • Any new items placed into the container will automatically inherit the container's security setting at the moment they are added.
    • Restrictions
      • This option is only available on top-level lockdown containers (containers not placed inside another container).
    • Manual Overrides Still Allowed
      • Players may still change the security of individual items after placement if they want different settings for specific items.

  • No Housing regions can no longer be bypassed by resizing a house after the IDOC process.
  • Trade Ministers now display both active raffles and current IDOC houses.
  • Plot Ledgers now show the size of the previous house that occupied the plot.

House Customization

New Celtic Wall Set

  • A new Celtic Wall Set has been added to house customization.
  • The wall set can be purchased from the Ultima Store.
  • Account Unlock Details
    • Unlocks once per account on that server.
    • Usable by all characters on that server.
    • Does not transfer to other servers.
    • Cannot be purchased more than once per server.
